The Lucas 12 volt universal MOSFET regulator is suitable for use with both single phase Lucas 10A and 16A stators and Lucas three phase stators 10A and 14.5A. It can also be used with similar three phase permanent magnet alternators with a maximum output of 25A.
The benefits are cooler running than SCR type rectifiers, achieved by using better electronic components which allow both the rectifier and the stator to operate at lower temperatures.
MOSFET technology also provides more accurate voltage regulation with a maximum charge rate of 14.5 volts.
